On Wednesday night, boxing legend and pop-culture mainstay Mike Tyson was to bring his "Undisputed Truth" speaking tour to Houston's Bayou Music Center. Today we have learned from Live Nation that the show has been canceled, with no word of a rescheduled date. No statement has been released as to why Tyson's Houston show has been scuttled either.
The official cause has been a "scheduling conflict," for a show that was announced months ago. Tyson is in The Hangover III which comes to theaters on May 24.
Just last week Tyson's wife and the writer of the touring show, Kiki Tyson, was hospitalized in Chicago for what was termed as "extreme stomach pains". She was released soon after.
This could also very well be a factor in Tyson's absence, but nothing has been confirmed.
For now, have a smile.
