Movie Trailers: Trash or Treasure?

The best part about going to the movies is the previews. The other films coming soon to a theater near you are somehow always more enticing than the flick you just paid to see. Movie Trailers: Trash or Treasure? is a collection of those advertisements that had you thinking, “I wish we were seeing that.” Brian Hearn, film curator at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, will introduce a collection of trailers for films like Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, Little Shop of Horrors, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Carrie, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the Star Wars rereleases and more. 7 and 9 p.m. Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, 1001 Bissonnet. For tickets and information, call 713-639-7515 or visit www.mfah.org. $6 to $7.
Sat., July 12, 7 & 9 p.m., 2008
