Musical Evening with Maestro Hans Graf: Love Songs Without Words

Houston Symphony Conductor Laureate Hans Graf leads an intimate program of romantic music in Musical Evening with Maestro Hans Graf: Love Songs Without Words. Graf discusses and introduces the music for the evening in the tiny (compared to Jones Hall) Russian Cultural Center in the Museum District. (The space accommodates some 50 people, so everyone will be only a few feet away from Graf and the musicians.) Violinist Oleg Sulyga and Alina Uddin perform Prokofiev’s “Love to Three Oranges,” Kreisler’s “Love’s Sorrow” and other romantic songs. Sulyga is a member of the Houston Grand Opera orchestra and often performs with Mercury, Ars Lyrica, the Houston Symphony, Chicago Symphony and Fort Worth Symphony. Uddin is the founder of Tune In Music Academy. 7:30 p.m. 2337 Bissonnet. For information, call 713-395-3301. $20.
