It doesnt matter what language you speak everyone has trouble in love. And you can expect a litany of love problems at the Polish Film Festival. Tomasz Koneckis Testosterone, which stars a cast of notable Polish actors, is the story of a prominent scientist and his marriage to a famous singer. Even Poland has paparazzi, and youd better believe this wedding has them all abuzz, especially when a special, unwelcome guest shows up in a fancy Rolls Royce. Stay tuned during the festivals run to see if you can find the next Roman Polanski in films by Polish directors such as Krzysztof Zanussi (his psychological drama Persona Non Grata screens tomorrow) and Agnieszka Holland (her biographical drama Copying Beethoven screens Monday, November 12). Both Holland and Zanussi will be on hand after the screenings to answer questions. This year will also feature a bonus screening of the popular Polish television political drama The Group after each screening.
