The big draw at this year's Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows is expected to be Ch. Clussexx Three D Grinchy Glee, a.k.a. Stump. A Houston-based Sussex spaniel who's the reigning Westminster Kennel Club champ, Stump will be giving out pawtographs and posing for pictures with adoring fans (ah, the life of a superstar). Stump's already got his title, but hundreds of other dogs will be competing for top honors in the agility competition, flyball tournament and Frisbee contests. For human competitors, there's the Designer Doghouse Competition, with entries by local remodeling professionals. And there's also a series of Meet the Breed sessions (opportunities for families to see various breeds up close and talk to experts about which might be best for them to adopt). 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. One Reliant Park. For information, call 800-653-8000 or visit www.reliantdogshows.com. Free to $10.
