“Sentient: Elements”

“Sentient: Elements” pairs the oil-on-canvas art of Angelina Nasso and Katsumi Hayakawa. The works look like opposites — Nasso blurs landscapes and Hayakawa sharpens them up. Nasso’s paintings, among them Gentle People and Imbue, look like scenes washed away with only streaks of blue, green, purple and yellow left behind. Meanwhile, Hayakawa’s “Microscape” series takes a more cartographical approach. His works look like map grids with colorful drops of acrylic paint marking different destinations or cities. 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
