Shauna Glenn

On her Web site, author Shauna Glenn writes, “If you stick around long enough, you’ll probably hear me say the word vagina (but only really positive things about it) and you’ll also learn about my sick fascination with midget porn.” Clearly, this is someone we should get to know better. She’ll read and sign her debut novel, Heaping Spoonful, at Brazos Bookstore today. Spoonful is a tale about a woman’s fight to save herself, her children and her small business after she loses her husband to cancer. It was a finalist in the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards. Glenn also works as a columnist for Fort Worth, Texas: The City’s Magazine, and keeps a blog where she espouses her love for wine and, er, other things. We’ll let her tell you about the rest. 5:30 p.m. 2421 Bissonnet. For information, call 713-523-0701 or visit brazos.booksense.com. Free.
