The story of Mexican composer çngel Agustn Mara Carlos Fausto Mariano Alfonso del Sagrado Corazn de Jess Lara y Aguirre del Pino (you might know him as Agustín Lara) is revealed in Simplemente Lara. Based on the life and work of one of the most influential composers of popular Mexican music in recent times (his hits include “Solamente Una Vez”), Simplemente Lara is written and performed by José Rubén León, who will be joined by bassist George Pardo and pianist Aaron Ellington Pardo. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
