So You Think You Can Dance Fans: National Dance Day Is Almost Here

In less than a week, your faithful Art Attack editor will be dancin' in the street (or very near it, in a parking lot) to celebrate National Dance Day.

We've shown you all kinds of messed up videos of us getting ready for the big day, which is this Saturday, July 30. We'll be dancing this easy salsa routine (choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy), and we want you to join us. Just learn the steps at home and join us in the Houston Press parking lot (1621 Milam) at 10 a.m. Saturday.

We've got the Houston Dynamo dance squad coming to hang out with us, because that's how we roll, and we'll even videotape the performance and upload it to Youtube as part of SYTYCD's call for entries. At the end of the day, it should look something like this:

Or something. We hope to see you there! Please wear a white t-shirt. Snacks and water will be provided. For more information, click here.

KEEP THE HOUSTON PRESS FREE... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
