More than 50,000 patrons attended the 50th Texas Renaissance Festival over the weekend leading up to Halloween. Many guests dressed up in costumes to play medieval games, watch shows, eat carnival foods and drink mead. The Texas Ren Fest is the nation’s largest festival of its kind, transporting visitors to an era of chivalry, merriment, and enchantment. The festival began in 1974, and is now held on over 70 acres of land, with 400+ shops and 21 stages of entertainment. The festival will continue over the next five weekends until Celtic Christmas on December 1. (Photos by Marco Torres/@MarcoFromHouston).
