The 10 Best Places to Take a Selfie in Houston

4. On the beach in Galveston.

Alright, so not Houston exactly, but so close and such a classic weekend destination spot for Houstonians, it had to make the list. There are plenty of places to get a good shot in Galveston -- we personally recommend drink in hand on the balcony of the Poop Deck -- but toes buried in the sand on the beach is never a bad thing...unless they are also covered in seaweed. Yuck.

3. Holding a margarita and any Tex Mex establishment.

Texas doesn't have an official state drink. If we did, our guess is there would be a fight between Dr. Pepper and beer to determine a winner, but our money -- and our liver -- is with the margarita. With so many killer Tex Mex places in Houston, you have your pick of where to order up a chilly marg and snap that selfie, drink in hand.

2. With a David Addickes statue.

There may be no more classic self portrait (or regular portrait for that matter) in Houston than a shot with one of Addickes many statues. From the Beatles to the presidential heads, a photo with one of them is a rite of passage in the Bayou City and one of the few "get a photo with" moments on our Bucket List.

1. In front In front of the We Love Houston sign on I-10 at Heights Blvd.

And speaking of Addickes, this particular sculpture stands on its own and requires a solitary spot on this list. We can't count the number of times we've driven by and seen people posing in front of the freeway adornment. In truth, it might be tough to get a selfie with it given its size, but it's worth a try to prove your love for Houston in selfie form.

If you have any suggestions for our list, please share them in the comments!
