The Best and Worst of Summer 2015 Movies

Alan Scherstuhl and Stephanie Zacharek of the Village Voice, along with Amy Nicholson of the LA Weekly, run down the worst and best of the movies they saw this summer, which as summers go, wasn't so terrible! Among the best performances were those by Sam Elliott, wonderful in two movies, and by Judy Greer, who was a cinematic flavor crystal when she appeared on-screen this summer.

Also this week, the trio discuss Z for Zachariah and No Escape, before welcoming Brittany Spanos of Rolling Stone to break down We Are Your Friends, the EDM movie which includes the moving scene of Zac Efron weeping while DJ'ing, overcome with emotion at his music!

Finally, we recommend three movies, Queen of Earth, The Tomb of Ligeia, and Second Mother.
