The Dedicated Gamer's Guide to Living Room Furniture

Our last table was a custom order for a game room designed by Erin McFadden. Originally the client wanted a collage featuring his favorite game characters, but ultimately ended up with a table to complement the original Pac-Man cabinet he had just added to his collection.

Living rooms aren't just coffee tables. If you're not going to go for a ring of video game chairs, then you'll also need a sofa. A lucky French video game blogger got this super-comfy-looking couch made for him as a present from his wife. It's based on the SEGA Master System, and a brief look at the blog shows an unhealthy fascination with that particular console. Still, it's not as disturbing as, say, if he was obsessed with the Jaguar or something.

Igor Chak is a renowned artist and designer, and also apparently an old-school video game fan. His Space Invaders-inspired couch is sleek and stylish, sure to complement only the most chic of homes. Though it's not yet for sale, he is avidly shopping the design around in the hope he can bring it to market. We wouldn't expect a bargain, though. The more conventional version he sells already retails for $5,000.
