Chinese and American dancers, actors, singers and acrobats come together for a world-class production of The Legend of Yin and Yang. Mixing languages, styles and art forms, the show is extremely colorful and features lavish costumes and a lush musical score. Along with the singing and dancing (from traditional Chinese to decidedly present-day American hip-hop), the audience will see giant trampoline tricks, acrobatics, fire breathing and seemingly impossible human pyramids (at one point 12 acrobats form a three-level pyramid by standing on one another's shoulders, and each juggles three hats by catching, throwing and wearing one simultaneously). Local award-winning group Wyld Styl Hip Hop Dance Troupe joins in, adding energetic urban dance to the spectacle. Yin and Yang is not all eye candy, though. It's also a moving story of conflict and redemption. 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Morris Cultural Center, Houston Baptists University, 7502 Fondren. For information, call 281-239-8888 or visit www.yinyangshow.com. $28 to $48.
