In an age of social media, all it takes is a YouTube account to become a star. The Nach Project is trying to make that a little easier if you can follow dance instructions and own a video camera, youre in! You can participate in the project, and yours will be part of the series of Nach videos online. The Nach Project is the brainchild of Jennifer Wood, choreographer of Houstons Suchu Dance. In an effort to show just how interpretive interpretive dance can get, participants are asked to adhere to a specific set of dance movements, but outfits, location and context for the video recording are completely up to the performers. To kick off the The Nach Project, Wood and her team will be throwing a launch party at Barnevelder Arts, where theyll have a question-and-answer session, refreshments and plenty of dancing. 8 to 11 p.m. 2201 Preston.
