The Rocky Horror Show

With no less than three local theater troupes mounting productions of The Rocky Horror Show for Halloween, it might be a little difficult to tell them apart, but Stage Door Inc. Artistic Director Marc Anthony Glover says the Pasadena-based company is trying hard to stand out. Glover says the show has been especially fun for the actors and crew to work on because of the madcap script, although as the show's director, he has had to rein them in a bit. "It's a balancing act getting the actors to let go and not hold back but at the same time not to go over-the-top, where they completely lose the integrity of the show. There are parts of the show where over-the-top is best, but you have to know where those moments are." 8 p.m. today, midnight tomorrow. Through November 8. 284 Pasadena Town Square. For a full schedule, call 832-582-7606 or visit $10 to $15.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Oct. 23. Continues through Nov. 8, 2009
