Yesterday, in news of the inevitable and unsurprising, Tony Parker and Eva Longoria confirmed the rumors that they have filed for divorce. When we take the facts into account--1) Eva Longoria is a Hollywood actress, 2) Tony Parker is a professional athlete, and 3) Tony Parker plays in the NBA--It actually becomes more amazing that the pair remained married for a whole four years.
Longoria posted a statement on Twitter yesterday, saying, "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness."
The idea that the two are actually "praying for each other's happiness" seems highly unlikely considering Parker's flagrant and unabashed infidelity. In an interview with Extra's Mario Lopez that aired last evening, Longoria revealed finding hundreds (yes, hundreds) of text messages from the wife of one of Parker's teammates, and evidence of prior infidelity on Facebook.
The Desperate Housewives actress has cancelled her upcoming Nov. 21 appearance at the American Music Awards and will spend Thanksgiving with friends and family.
