Upside Down, Inside Out

Poke around in the drawers and look under the chairs at Upside Down, Inside Out, an event held simultaneously at both the Rienzi and Bayou Bend house museums. Some of the furniture and objects at each of the two homes will be opened or turned over so that visitors can see the construction of the pieces, a special treat for antique enthusiasts. Free shuttles will take visitors from house to house. Noon to 5 p.m. Rienzi, 1406 Kirby Drive. Bayou Bend, 1 Westcott Street. For information, call 713-639-7300 or visit $20.

Sun., Jan. 25, 12-5 p.m., 2009

KEEP THE HOUSTON PRESS FREE... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
