We at Art Attack are getting super excited for our National Dance Day event, and we hope you can make it out to join us on July 30.
For those of you that have been living under a rock, we're hosting a flash mob-style dance event in the parking lot behind our building at 1621 Milam. We're busy learning a super-easy salsa routine, and we are asking you to learn it as well so we can all dance together. It doesn't matter if you've been dancing since you were a youngin' or if you just started yesterday. Dancers of all levels, ages and abilities are encouraged to show up at 10 a.m. next Saturday.
We've already posted the official dance instruction video (choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy), but to help less-experienced dancers out, we decided to make an instructional video of our own. Here's part 2 of that video:

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Houston with no paywalls.
