In the upcoming movie The Roommate, opening February 4, a college freshman (Minka Kelly) gets paired with a psychotic roommate (Leighton Meester) off her meds and out for blood. Now while we're sure similar incidents have happened, we're also sure the truth is even stranger than fiction. We know you've got crazier stories of crazier roommates, and we want to hear them.

We're giving away a $100 Visa Gift Card, a run-of-engagement pass for two to The Roommate, and a goodie-bag of Roommate swag for the best psycho-roommate story submitted. Second and third place winners will receive run-of-engagement passes and promo items. And all three stories will be published here on Art Attack.

The contest deadline is this Sunday, February 6, at midnight.

Send your submissions to hpfilmcontest@houstonpress.com.

Keep the Houston Press Free... Since we started the Houston Press, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Houston, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Houston with no paywalls.
