"William Reaves Fine Art Holiday Show"

In the exhibit “The William Reaves Fine Art Holiday Show,” viewers see new works by 15 contemporary Texas Regionalist artists whose art is directly inspired by Texas masters at work in the early 20th century. The gallery reports a holiday-themed exhibit will likely become an annual tradition. Gallery owner William Reaves comments, “Viewers will find these splendid works rich with painterly quality and grand narrative, expertly integrating traditional Texas themes with intriguing contemporary visions of the Lone Star scene.” Work by Randy Bacon, Mary Baxter, David Caton, Margie Crisp, Keith Davis, Charles Ford and Pat Gabriel is included, as is art by Billy Hassell, Lee Jamison, Robb Kendrick, Laura Lewis, William Montgomery, Noe Perez, Jeri Salter and Debbie Stevens. The pieces reflect the state’s geographic diversity. Their subject matters range from historical Texas events to panoramic landscapes and from photo-realistic urban scenes to native Texas wildlife.
