Meet Yip 1 and Yip 2 (a.k.a. Jason Temple and Brian Esser). With their synthesized powers combined, they are Yip-Yip. The experimental Florida duo produces the kind of sounds you would expect if Kraftwerk, Devo and Danny Elfman jammed inside your Nintendo console. The pair sprints through synth-heavy experimental rock tunes that rarely top two minutes in length. The two don matching head-to-toe bodysuits that conjure up thoughts of The Locust - but this time it's a little more listener-friendly. Prepare to dance (or have a seizure) when Yip-Yip plays after Austin New Wavers Pataphysics and local experimental hip-hopper B L A C K I E. 7 p.m. The Mink/Backroom, 3718 Main. For information, call 713-522-9985 or visit www.themink.org. $7.
