Yuletide at Bayou Bend

Step back in time at Yuletide at the Bayou Bend: Celebrations! Once the private home of Houston socialite Ima Hogg, Bayou Bend is now a showcase for American decorative arts. During yuletide tours, visitors will enjoy a re-creation of the first dinner the Hogg family had in their new home 80 years ago this month. There’s also a 1700 wedding, a 1772 college commencement party and a 20th-century drawing-room Christmas capturing the holiday celebration Miss Hogg had later in her swank high-rise apartment. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Through January 4. 1 Westcott Street. For information, call 713-639-7750 or visit www.mfah.org/bayou-bend. Prices vary.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Nov. 25. Continues through Jan. 4, 2008
