Partygoers of every stripe will find something to enjoy at Mardi Gras! Galveston. Want traditional parades with lots of beads and other trinkets? There are dozens of processions, including the Tremont House’s A&M Mardi Gras Parade Viewing Party. Want something fancy? Try the San Luis Salute hosted by Tilman and Paige Fertitta (yes, that Tilman Fertitta). For families there’s the Mardi Gras Children’s Parade on the Seawall, and animal lovers flock to the Krewe of Barkus & Meoux pet parade. There are plenty of bands throughout the two-week festival, including a full slate of electric music. Hours vary. Locations vary. For information, visit mardigrasgalveston.com. Prices vary.
