Kicking off the festival is the screening of Dolphin Tale 2 (1 p.m. February 8). Directed by Charles Martin Smith and starring Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman, this family-friendly film follows the team that saved and rescued Winter, an injured dolphin, by building a prosthetic tail. Sure to appeal to animal lovers, this event takes place at The Children’s Museum, where there will also be a special presentation by The Seeing Eye, Inc. with guide dogs.
It’s All About Friends (5:30 p.m. February 8), a Swedish film directed by Lena Koppel, follows the life of a depressed New York City photographer. Marcel Barrena’s documentary Little World follows the wheelchair-bound Albert, who sets out on an adventure despite having only 20 euros in his pocket.
