It's a short work week for most of us with Thanksgiving this Thursday. But despite the length, the early part of the week will be packed with changes for us in Houston. Looking back at the weekend, it wasn't all bad. Saturday was actually rather pleasant outside and we even got some sunshine. Sunday was quite a bit different, with sloppy, rainy weather and a dip in temperatures as a cold front pushed through.

Monday will look a bit like Sunday for the first part of the day with rainy conditions and highs not getting out of the lower 50s. But skies should begin to clear later and, if you are taking the whole week off, Tuesday should be your day to get out and about. Expect sunny skies with highs in the mid 60s, truly chamber of commerce weather in Houston.

Clouds will begin to filter in ahead of another front on Wednesday and it could get a bit stormy around here Wednesday afternoon and overnight into the Thanksgiving holiday. Most of the area will get a shower or two as the front moves through the area.

The good news is that, with the front off the coast by early morning, it should be lovely, if a bit cool, weather for the H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown Houston. Temperatures will be mostly in the 50s in the morning warming up to only the low 60s in the afternoon under clearing skies. It ought to be a very nice, cool holiday.

Black Friday promises to be cool and cloudy, but with not much rain if any in the forecast as we head into the long weekend. In fact, looking ahead to the weekend, it appears to be pretty nice, but we'll discuss that more closer to the end of the week. Until then, Happy Turkey Day!
