Whether or not it's for a good cause, shopping is always a good idea, right ladies? Last night, Weingarten Realty Investors and the American Heart Association staged an event that made buying a new dress, bag or heels feel good for your health. Benefiting the AHA and raising awareness for heart disease, the River Oaks Fashion Show kicked off with an introduction from Roz Pactor and Lesha Elsenbrook (AHA Ladies Guild leaders) and an inspirational story about a young Houstonian surviving heart disease. Then models from the Neal Hamil Agency walked the stage and the aisles at the River Oaks Theater, wearing styles from 310 Rosemont, Ann Taylor, Chicos, Em & Lee, Enticingly Chic, Gap, Haut Chocolat, Jos. A. Bank, La Mode Swim, La Mode Lingerie, LMD Boutique, Luke's Locker, Mia Bridal Couture, Rebecca & Drew, Talbots and Twice New. Directly after the fashion show, the shopping floodgates were opened and the River Oaks Shopping Center was filled with people shopping and mingling late into the evening.
