Not that anyone needs a reason to break out some western wear in Houston, but this Friday is Go Texan Day, when the entire city of Houston is expected to acknowledge the opening of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo by wearing cowboy gear.

Of course, to be recognizable as a fashion statement you're going to have to do better than tight jeans and cowboy boots. Augment that look with the appropriate hat, belt buckle, bolo tie and bandana. (No, a Texans jersey doesn't count.)

And send us photos of you and your western-bedecked co-workers. We'll post the best ones--the more vintage, kitschy and fringe-adorned the better.

Send photos to artsblog@houstonpress.com or post them at our Flickr pool.
