Mangiamaccheroni Sicilia Pop-Up @ Camerata at Paulie's Sunday, 6 p.m. 1834 Westheimer
Mangia what? Don't worry about the pronounciation, all you need to know is that it means "Pasta Eaters." During this pop-up dinner at Paulie's, Felipe Riccio, along with his father; Bart Benton; Matt Wenaas; and Hayley Wallace, will create an Italian seafood menu with dishes including tuna rillette with preserved lemon and Panuzzo Sicilian bread; thyme bucatini with mussels and pickled friggitelli on a coppa and pomodori sugo; and cassata with almond cake, pistachio ricotta, orange and marzipan. Five dishes will be served and each will cost $12. Get there early so you can mangia mangia on some pasta before everything is sold out. All of the tips and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Houston Sommelier Association.
