Rocks Off is used to seeing these kinds of announcements only around the Rodeo or at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. But two of country music's top alpha males, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, will bring their "Brothers of the Sun" tour to Reliant Stadium Saturday, August 4, promoter AEG announced today.

It will be the first country stadium tour to hit Houston since the rodeo. Last month duo Sugarland announced they will play BBVA Compass Bank Stadium on Aug. 26, the first concert at the Houston Dynamo's brand-new home scheduled to open next month.

McGraw and Chesney are both alumni of George Strait's Country Music Festival, which toured the country several times in the late '90s and 2000s. They debuted their new duet, "Feel Like a Rock Star," at last week's ACM Awards, and it became the highest-charting debut of both men's careers, bowing at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Opening are Keith Urban lookalike Jake Owen ("Yee Haw," "Alone With You") and New England retro-R&B band Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. Potter and Chesney had a major country hit last year with "You & Tequila" from Chesney's 2010 album Hemingway's Whiskey.

Chesney last played in Houston at Discovery Green as part of the NCAA's "Big Dance" concert series surrounding the Final Four last year, about a month after McGraw played the rodeo.

Tickets for the show go onsale at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21 through area Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and 800-745-3000.
