UPDATE: Tickets for the Diddy Dirty Money show are not going on sale Friday as originally reported.
Sean Combs Sean "Puffy" Combs Puffy Puff Daddy P. Diddy Diddy is coming to Warehouse Live on May 12 on his "Diddy Dirty Money Tour," behind his newest album, Last Train To Paris. The prolific businessman, producer, and rapper is embarking on one of his very, very scarce tours.
We aren't too sure he has ever gone out on his own much, save for an N Sync opening slot in 2002, which we heard about in passing.
After his friend and collaborator The Notorious B.I.G. died in March 1997, Diddy went solo with a bang, releasing No Way Out and becoming ubiquitous on MTV and BET alike. His tribute to Biggie, the Police-biting "I'll Be Missing You" catapulted him out on his own.
Needless to say, the man has made some of the most WTF-riddled pop-rap videos known to man. It's as if every one was directed by John Woo or Michael Bay: Glossy, fiery, glittery, and overflowing with celebrity cameos, giving Michael Jackson's videos a run for their money.
Rocks Off collected five of the strangest videos we could find. Remember when he was banging Jennifer Lopez? That pretty much ruled.
Stay tuned to Rocks Off for ticket giveaways. On-sale date TBD.
"Bad Boyz For Life": Token white boys Ben Stiller and Travis Barker show up for white cred, support, cash.
"Been Around The World": Crash-land in the desert and start rapping. Why not? Plus, was Mase really a rapper, or just a black guy who talked in rhyme? Jennifer Lopez goes against type as a huge-assed, spoiled princess. [Ed. Note: Hi David Bowie!]
"It's All About The Benjamins" (Rock Remix): The Class of '98 was never the same after then Puff Daddy turns their prom into a hip-hop show and Lil' Kim screws the prom king in the boys' bathroom.
"Come With Me" feat. Jimmy Page: Godzilla doesn't eat Puffy, but he does it a huge chunk of Jimmy Page's streetness as the pair destroy one of the coolest songs from Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti. (We can't lie, we liked this song in 1998. A lot.)
"I'll Be Missing You": Why did he fall off the motorcycle and then start rapping??
