Amid the promotional blitz surrounding their new album Midnight Memories, Britain's One Direction -- currently the biggest band on the planet, boy or otherwise -- announced a summer 2014 stadium tour that includes an August 22 show at Reliant Stadium.
The group's biggest tour to date, "Where We Are 2014" is being heralded with a series of city-specific postcards like the one above, which are just darling. Luckily the Texans have jersey No. 14 at the moment, so the team might as well consider giving Liam, Harry, Louis, Niall and/or Zayn a tryout while they're in the building. Couldn't hurt.
The lads, who picked up two American Music Awards Sunday night, will be somewhat difficult to escape this holiday season. Midnight Memories went on sale Monday, while the quintet announced the tour earlier this morning on Good Morning America, will appear on Saturday Night Live (with host Paul Rudd) December 7, and they now have their own Google Play page.
Of course that will not nearly be enough to satiate their fans. Midnight Memories is already No. 1 in 97 countries. The official 1D Facebook page is up to an astounding 22.4 million likes. Damn.
Here's the small print: Citi cardmembers will have access to a special presale beginning today (hey!) via citiprivatepass.com. Fans should investigate this Facebook page for additonal presale opportunities. For the rest of us peons, tickets go on sale Saturday, December 7 at livenation.com.
