Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are looking for a man who they say is preying on women in the Fifth Ward and is responsible for at least four sexual assaults in the past six weeks.
While the police sketch may bear a strange resemblance to Fred Durst, the '90s white-boy rock-rapper popular with aggro frat boys who like to break stuff, this guy is much, much more dangerous.
According to police, the tattooed suspect has been picking up women who are working as escorts in the Fifth Ward area, just northeast of downtown. The women were then driven to Penn City Road in east Harris County, where they were brutally physically and sexually assaulted.
The first reported case happened on September 17, after the victim reportedly accepted a ride from the suspect. She was then driven to the 2700 block of Penn City Road, where the suspect pulled out what is described as either a large knife or a machete, threatening to kill the woman if she didn't comply with his sexual demands. He then sexually assaulted her.
Eerily similar attacks were reported on October 2, 13 and 16, just weeks after the initial September 17 assault.
During the October 13 attack, the victim managed to escape from the suspect and run to a guard shack near the 3100 block of Penn City Road, where she asked for help. She fled before police could arrive.
The suspect is described as a white man between the ages of 30 and 40, and is approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall with a normal build. He is reported as having light blue or green eyes, a goatee and tattoos down his arms.
He has been seen driving a white, four-door pickup truck with a silver tool box in the bed of the truck.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
