Sure, Brandon Cornett may have shot his wife in cold blood, but at least he didn't try to deny it.

Police say that they got a call Saturday night about a shooting and drove over to 9002 Sterlingshire in northeast Houston. When they arrived, police say, Cornett walked up to the officers holding a cell phone, saying that he had shot his wife.

Indeed, when police entered the house, they found Cornett's wife, whose name has not been released, dead from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Cornett didn't make up any bullshit story, police say, and gave himself over to the cops as they handcuffed him and drove him to jail. He is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
