We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We wrote about growing concern that Lights in the Heights, at one time a charmingly low-key neighborhood celebration, had gotten out of hand. One reader was absolutely sure it had.

Sez me said:

Hell yes it's gotten out of hand. It was only supposed to be a few streets in Woodland Heights and now the whole damn area has become a nightmare before Christmas.
