UH has announced that three of the upcoming season's games will be moved to Thursday nights to get TV exposure, including the Bayou Bucket game.

Road games at UTEP and Tulane will be on Thursday, and the bragging-rights contest against Rice will be played under the lights at Robertson on October 27.

"These date changes provide our football program another level of exposure with television and the prestige that comes with a national television audience," said UH Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades. "Our program has seen great advances in identity outside of the Houston area thanks to 20 games which have been televised either regionally or nationally over the past two years. We are honored that our team is considered such a strong product for our television partners."

UH did not release any information on which networks will be televising the games.

Spokesperson Cassie Arner tells Hair Balls TV partners have been lined up for each game, but the school "has not been cleared to release that information yet."

Obviously, the big prize would be an ESPN slot.
