The official map of proposed city council redistricting came out this morning, and the big news is new District J, which would combine much of Montrose and the Heights to create an almost painfully hip, edgy, so-cool-it-hurts district.
Anyone repping this one better be driving a hybrid, is all we can say.
The hearing introducing Mayor Annise Parker's proposal is still going on, and there will be the first of a series of public hearings April 13 (schedule here.)
The city is adding two new single-member districts as a result of the 2010 Census.
