Bennie E. Richardson IV, a 40-year-old Pasadena man, has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for possessing and distributing child pornography.
Looking at the porn was a form of relaxation, he told cops when he was arrested.
Richardson was arrested in 2008 and was found guilty last month, but more details about his case came today from the U.S. Attorney's Office. As is often the case, they're repulsive, so make sure you want to read ahead.
Cops found more than 600 images and 400 videos on Richardson's computers, and in fact found him downloading child porn when they came to get him.
He told them "he was very knowledgeable about computers and that he was a computer technician," the USAO said. "He claimed he was downloading and watching the child pornography because it relaxed him."

This is what "relaxed" Richardson:
The investigator downloaded one of the videos and discovered images identified as being part of a known series, as well as minor children engaging in oral, anal and vaginal sex with an adult male. One section of the video contained a young female (approximately 8-10 years of age) on her knees being forced to perform oral sex on an adult male while blindfolded with her arms and legs bound with bindings tied around her neck and attached to her ankles.
Richardson also freely shared 144 such videos with other people in need of relaxation.
