If you get your kicks on Route 66, you'll eventually wind up in Oklahoma City, which is where freshly divorced Paul McCartney found himself a couple days ago on hissentimental road trip
through the American heartland.
McCartney, who's official title is "Sir" in the British Empire, had dinner in the company of a "tall blonde" at Nonna's, a trendy (for OKC) restaurant in the newly revitalized downtown area known as "Bricktown."
The restaurant and its patrons were alerted beforehand to Sir Paul's arrival and apparently didn't bother him during his two-hour dinner.
So what's the 66-year-old former Beatle doing in Oklahoma City, which is a nice-enough place but not exactly a hotspot for world famous entertainers, if you don't count Toby Keith among that group.

"I have absolutely no idea," restaurant owner Avis Scaramucci told OKC radio station KTOK, which broadcasts the riffs of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity but not the music of the Beatles or, for that matter, Wings.
News reports, though, say McCartney and current girlfriend Nancy Shevell, 47, are on a 3,000-mile road trip along Route 66, traveling in a 1989 Bronco.
File photos of Ms. Shevell show her to be a brunette, which raises the question of who was the "tall blonde" with Sir Paul at the OKC dinner? We don't know, but maybe Paul's new gal pal is traveling in disguise, like Paul did in A Hard Day's Night.
