We have some great commenters here on Hair Balls, and it's time we paid some damn attention to them.

So we'll be highlighting a Comment of the Day each morning, from the previous day's work. Maybe two comments, even.

This will all be determined by a highly rigorous scientific formula involving wit, clarity and whatever else we feel like at the moment.

We wrote about the big ceremony for the signing of the bill which requires women seeking abortions to get a sonogram, and how the three main players were all white Tea Party males.

A lively discussion ensued, with attention also being paid to the 24-hour waiting period.

Allison K wrote:

Well I mean, I know that when I walk into a medical establishment for a specific medical procedure, that's the FIRST time I've thought about what that procedure entails and how it will affect my life, so that 24 hour waiting period is just common sense! Plus there's that whole, "I'm a woman" thing and so I always need a pasty old white dude to tell me what I really need for my life. *teehee*
