A man has been charged with aggravated assault for opening fire on a northeast-side home and hitting in the head a four-year-old boy who was playing inside.
Isaiah Nicholas is still hospitalized in critical condition, but Fox 26 reports that Candale Dekota Hall, 24, has been charged in the March 31 shooting.
The incident came at a family party in the 9200 block of Madera. The suspect apparently had been in an argument with one of the adult guests at the party, and fired randomly into the house.
"Mama, I don't want to die," he said on the way to the hospital, the Houston Chronicle reported.
