Houston Gets Another Recycling Dis -- From A Local

is the country's largest private recycling company, and it's based here in Houston.

It's about to build the state's biggest recycling facility, a 180,000-square-foot operation that will be able to process 20,000 tons a month.

Where are they going to build Texas' biggest and best recycling facility? Not in Houston.

Instead they're going to San Antonio, which has had great success expanding its recycling, according to Greenstar.

"The cities of San Antonio and Dallas have helped to pioneer recycling in Texas," says John Rabon, Texas regional manager for Greenstar.

Hmmm -- any city missing from that list? You know, it's big, polluted, and uses a lot of stuff that can be recycled?

Ah well -- we're sure Houston will get there someday. Even if it has to involve hand-outs from San Francisco.
