If there is anywhere in the Bible that tells men to have sex with 12-year-old girls, we missed it.
But the Bible is full of all kinds of crazy stuff, so who knows? And maybe the chapter and verse on "thou shalt sexually assault kids" was the subject of the Bible class where Jossue Daniel Garcia-Lopez, 20, allegedly met a 12-year-old girl.
Court documents show that cops allege the two began texting, and that Garcia-Lopez told investigators he didn't believe the girl when she said she was 12 because she "looked older."
After a no-doubt incredibly involved investigation by Garcia-Lopez to determine the girl's actual age, the two began having sex, KTRK reports.
In December, a different Bible teacher at the girl's Jacinto City church noticed she was missing from class, KTRK says.
She was found walking from behind the church, adjusting her hair and skirt. The Bible instructor saw a SUV coming around the church and when asked who the driver was, the girl told him he was her "boyfriend."
