The Houston personal-injury law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Friend has announced a 1 p.m. press conference today to say that Alesha Johnson, mother of 13-year-old Isaiah Reagins, is suing the ass off the teacher and Jamie's Charter School.
The teacher, Sherri Davis, has since been fired from the charter school. Turns out she didn't have a teaching certificate, according to the Houston Chronicle, but she didn't need one anyway because of the school's charter status.
The law firm's announcement -- both the mother and the kid will be there!! -- praises the student "who courageously came forward with the video evidence" of the incident.
It doesn't quite praise her "for making our case a slam dunk," but then again it doesn't have to.
