Maybe it's just us, but if we're going to all the pain and trouble of breaking into a pharmacy, we're walking out of there with some good drugs. And maybe an US Magazine or two, if it's a good one, but that's a given.
That's not the new thing, though. These days, your pharmacy-robbers are after a different target: metal.
Because Lord knows you can't get metal anywhere besides a pharmacy.
Crime Stoppers says things are reaching a boiling point: "Over a period spanning between February of 2012 and as recently as August 16, 2012, at least sixteen metal thefts have occurred at CVS Pharmacies throughout the City of Houston and unincorporated Harris County," the agency says. "Seven significant thefts occurred in June and July alone."
In that most recent August hit, security cameras caught all the action, which mostly included some very vigorous slamming of a metal wallbox with a sledgehammer, if you're into that sort of thing:

Crime Stoppers says the dude "struck repeatedly at the business' utility systems until he was able to remove a significant amount of copper metal from the scene."
