Left scattered in Ike's path is not only debris and annoyance, but your chance to win big bucks for being a genius.
The Houston Press first, hopefully annual MasterMinds awards -- where local artists, innovators and entrepreneurs can win $2,000 -- is being delayed.

The initial deadline for nominating someone (even yourself!) was October 3; that's not been pushed back to October 30 because of Ike-related madness.
The awards will be given out in early 2009.
So get another beer out of your cooler, fan yourself in lieu of a/c and start thinking about which local genius deserves recognition.
