When you work for a nonprofit that provides health services to indigents, you can get inspired.
Or you can get greedy.
Lynn Tran, 38, apparently chose the second option, if what court documents say is true.
Tran was a staffer at The Rose, a 25-year-old breast-cancer organization which provides medical services to indigent women and gets large donations from many local companies.
For a little over a year beginning in January 2011, court documents say, Tran stole at least $20,000 from the organization. The documents don't detail how she did it, just that she is charged with stealing between $20,000 and $100,000 from the nonprofit. It's a felony charge.
