Police departments, sheriff's offices and district attorneys have been loudly getting the word out about DWI crackdowns at the end of the year.

Maybe some of their employees should have paid attention.

Fox 26 reports that two law-enforcement officials in Galveston County were arrested in a DWI crackdown that put 30 people behind bars.

A sheriff's deputy and an assistant DA were nabbed.

Galveston County Assistant District Attorney Lester Blizzard was arrested overnight for suspicion of drunk driving, the station reports, and that came on the heels of the arrest of sheriff's deputy Tino Ramirez on the same charges.

Blizzard is reportedly in charge of the DA's felony division, which includes prosecuting drunk drivers.

It's not known whether either man read our tips on how to avoid a DWI conviction this weekend.
