Just minutes ago, Rocks Off returned from the Best of Houston® BestFest grounds at the Midtown superblock off Main and Travis, and we can say with all certainty that this weekend will be huge. We were there shooting a segment to air on Channel 39's NewsFix today at 5 and 9 p.m., where the camera follows us around the venue.
We visited both stages, the biggest stage which just did three days of work at ACL as the Google+ and Honda stages at Zilker Park. The ol' girl was getting outfitted with lights and rigging today.
The second Homebrew stage is about half that size, and is farthest away from Downtown Houston, and backs up to HCC and the complex that holds Escobar, across from Cali Sandwich.

The two stages face one another, about a 150 yards away apart, and the alleyway in between are lined with vendor booths. We did see covered Porta Potties, so you don't have to stand in the sun before you make with the bodily functions. There is a large ball in the middle of the grounds with the BestFest logo on it, ala the one at ACL every year. The view of the Houston skyline behind the main stage will be great for pics tomorrow night around dusk.
So there you have it, come on out tomorrow and Sunday, and drink, eat, and listen to some of the best things that Houston has to offer. The Rocks Off team will be meandering around the show for two days, bringing you live coverage on Twitter and the blog.
