Just a little more than a month after Landry’s reported that its charge card systems had been hacked, fast-food chain Wendy’s is now reporting that it is investigating another possible data breach.

The Restaurant Business website reports that Wendy’s is investigating a data breach that has occurred at “an undisclosed number” of locations. The investigation started after the Krebs On Security website contacted the chain after “hearing from banking industry sources about a possible breach at Wendy’s”

Krebs On Security says the initial reports came from banks in the Midwest, but since then, banks on the East Coast have reported the same issues. The transactions currently under investigation took place late in 2015.

Worldwide, Wendy’s has more than 6,500 locations. If suspicions turn out to be accurate, it would be the largest restaurant chain to date to be targeted successfully by hackers.
